🚀 About the Role

Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife is hiring a hands-on Operations Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations.

This is not a sit-back leadership role — this is a roll-up-your-sleeves, drive-results position where you will manage people, enforce standards, and improve performance across the entire business.

👉 You will be expected to take ownership and drive outcomes immediately.


💼 Who This IS For

We are looking for a true operator, not an administrator.

This role is for someone who:

  • Has personally run operations in a service-based business
  • Has managed field teams (technicians, crews, or drivers)
  • Is comfortable holding people accountable and making tough decisions
  • Can build systems AND enforce them
  • Thinks in numbers, KPIs, and results — not just tasks

👉 You take ownership. You don’t wait to be told what to do.


🚨 Who This Is NOT For

This is NOT a support or administrative role.

If your background is primarily:

  • Office administration
  • HR
  • Coordination without ownership
  • Assisting leadership instead of leading

✅ Minimum Experience Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in an Operations Manager, Service Manager, or similar leadership role
  • Experience in a service-based industry (pest control, HVAC, plumbing, lawn care, etc.)
  • Proven experience managing 5+ field employees or technicians
  • Direct responsibility for day-to-day operations (not just support)
  • Experience with scheduling, dispatch, or route-based service teams

👉 Candidates without direct operations ownership experience will not be considered


💼 Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $70,000

Monthly Performance Bonus (Up to $3,000/month)
Based on:

  • Accounts receivable (AR control)
  • Production efficiency (revenue per tech / jobs per day)
  • Job completion rate
  • Customer retention and service quality
  • Close rate improvement (from ~40% baseline)
  • Recurring revenue growth

Quarterly Bonus ($2,000 – $5,000)
Based on:

  • Hitting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Maintaining strong operational KPIs

👉 Total Compensation Potential: $90,000 – $110,000+

🎯 What You Will Own

Team Management

  • Lead technicians and office staff
  • Hold team accountable to performance standards
  • Conduct ride-alongs, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Address underperformance quickly

Operations & Scheduling

  • Oversee scheduling, routing, and dispatch efficiency
  • Ensure jobs are completed on time and at high quality
  • Eliminate inefficiencies and missed appointments

Performance & KPIs

You will track, manage, and improve:

  • Revenue per technician
  • Jobs per day
  • Close rate (currently ~40%)
  • Customer retention
  • Accounts receivable (currently ~$94,000)
  • Recurring revenue growth

👉 You are responsible for identifying problems and fixing them


Systems & SOPs

  • Build and implement standard operating procedures
  • Improve workflows and operational efficiency
  • Ensure consistency across all services

Customer Experience

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Handle escalated customer issues
  • Improve retention and long-term value
