Duties

You will be leading, with minimal supervision, the development and delivery of complex life cycle cost estimates and analyses for Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE).,You will be ensuring, with a high degree of autonomy, the quality and compliance of all cost department products by leading cost modeling initiatives and supporting high-level decision-making.,You will be leading the defense of cost estimates, independently resolving obstacles, and building consensus among stakeholders with differing viewpoints, ensuring all products undergo the required review process for final certification.,You will providing senior-level mentoring and technical guidance to less experienced analysts, autonomously facilitating knowledge transfer, and sharing best practices and lessons learned with the team.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience. 1. Technical Cost Analysis & Modeling Independently leading the development and delivery of complex life cycle cost estimates for ALRE and/or SE. This includes exercising senior-level judgment to build variable-driven economic models and taking full ownership of assessing technical, programmatic, and financial risks to quantify their impact on cost and schedule. You must demonstrate mastery in overseeing the compilation, verification, and normalization of baseline data with minimal supervision. 2. Stakeholder Engagement & Defense Proactively coordinating with technical authorities and confidently translating complex analytical data into formal briefings for leadership. This requires experience leading the defense of cost estimates, independently resolving obstacles, and building consensus among stakeholders with differing viewpoints to ensure all products are certified. 3. Strategic Leadership & Departmental Improvement Driving departmental efficiency by developing new tools, databases, and processes, and autonomously mentoring junior analysts. This includes independently implementing Product Based Execution (PBE) strategies, ensuring the quality and compliance of all cost department products, and taking the initiative to champion continuous improvement in support of the command's mission.
