About the Department
Performs supportive administrative, technical, and professional work for the Chief of Police and the Administration Division. Assists with fleet, recruitment, background investigation processes, community engagement events and other administrative functions. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief of Police. This position supports the department’s technical operations and recruitment efforts.
Position Duties
- Provides administrative, technical, and professional support to the Chief of Police and Administration Division.
- Assists with technical operations related to fleet management and equipment installation.
- Assists with recruitment efforts, applicant background investigations and community engagement efforts.
- Assists with participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Chief of Police.

- Ability to communicate effectively inboth oral andwritten formats;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, internalandexternalcustomers,andtownofficials;
Abilitytohandleconfidentialandsensitiveinformationappropriately;
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in law enforcement operations or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment. The employee must occasionally lift and carry equipment or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds and must be able to inspect vehicles, equipment, and facilities. Visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position are required.
