Job Description

Operations Specialist - Depository Operations

Are you detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated by supporting the behind-the-scenes processes that keep a bank running smoothly? The National Bank of Indianapolis is seeking an Operations Specialist to support our Depository Operations team.

In this role, you'll provide critical support across Credit Card, Electronic Banking, and Wire Transfer services while helping to ensure exceptional service for both customers and internal partners.

How You'll Contribute

  • Provide support to internal clients regarding deposit accounts and customer information files
  • Assist internal and external clients with credit card inquiries, payments, transaction research, and account maintenance
  • Respond professionally to client Conversations (online chats)
  • Perform Visa/ATM Debit Card setup and maintenance
  • Enter wire transfer requests, process incoming international wires, and perform callback verifications
  • Maintain wire documentation and assist with document imaging and record retention
  • Perform quality control reviews for maintenance completed in assigned operational areas
  • Conduct Defender fraud reviews and support transaction monitoring activities
  • Assist with system updates, year-end processing, testing, and special projects
  • Process and verify fee reversals and transaction reversals

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Banking operations experience preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency and data entry skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented
