Operations Supervisor

Location: North Platte, Nebraska

Department: Operations (Harvest, Fabrication, Shipping, Coolers, or Other Production Areas) Current Openings - 1. Fabrication Packaging, 2. Fabrication Trim, 3. Shipping Receiving


Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead and support our production teams across various areas of the plant. This position may support Harvest, Fabrication, Shipping, Coolers, or other operational departments depending on business needs.

In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure production targets are met, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with USDA and company standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily production schedules to ensure customer orders and operational targets are met

  • Confirm all positions are staffed prior to line start-up

  • Lead pre-shift meetings, stretching exercises, and job rotations to support ergonomic best practices

  • Monitor production flow and equipment performance; address operational issues promptly

  • Ensure compliance with USDA inspection, food safety, and sanitation requirements

  • Promote and reinforce a safety-first work environment

  • Monitor product quality and yield to minimize waste and maximize efficiency

  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments to resolve workflow challenges

  • Coach team members on performance expectations and provide constructive feedback

  • Document production data, attendance, and other required reporting

  • Support training and development of new and existing Team Members


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in meat processing, food production, manufacturing, or supervisory leadership

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a strong plus

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and team-oriented workplace

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
