Job Description

Optical Assistant

Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays)

Full-time (40/hour per week)

Locations available: Talbott, TN, In-Person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage check-ins and check-outs.
  • Help patients select frames and ensure proper fitting.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with claims and billing procedures.
  • Ensure exam rooms and instruments are clean and ready for use.
  • Conduct basic eye tests before the optometrist sees the patient.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills. 
  • Prior experience in optical retail or healthcare setting preferred.
