Key Responsibilities:
- Perform OTR tire section repairs on heavy equipment tires at mine sites and STM locations.
- Operate a mobile repair service unit, including driving a ¾-ton truck and trailer to job sites.
- Travel weekly throughout the Eastern Region (SC, TN, AL, GA, FL).
- Maintain repair equipment, tools, and materials required for field repairs.
- Ensure repairs meet Southern Tire Mart quality and safety standards.
- Communicate with store leadership and customers regarding job status and repair needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation for repairs performed.
- Follow all MSHA, OSHA, and STM safety protocols when working at mine sites and other industrial environments.
- Represent Southern Tire Mart professionally while working at customer locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to travel weekly across multiple states.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to safely operate a ¾-ton truck and trailer.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, mines, and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy tire repair equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in mine environments
- Experience performing OTR tire section repairs or advanced tire repair work
- Familiarity with section repair equipment and processes
- Prior experience in a mobile field service role

- Extensive weekly travel required
- Primary transportation will include driving a ¾-ton truck and trailer
- Overnight travel may be required depending on repair schedules
Skills / Education:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
- Possible overtime may be required.
Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
Capable of working independently in various weather and road conditions.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
