Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for coordinating outbound operations and wave planning activities to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely shipment of customer orders.  This role supports warehouse supervisors and leads by maintaining workflow, prioritizing orders, and optimizing labor and system performance on the floor.

 

Duties:

  •  Plan, release, and manage outbound waves based on order priority, carrier schedules, and operational capacity.
    •    Accurately schedule all outbound shipments to ensure on-time departures and service level compliance.
    •    Coordinate order flow from system release through picking, packing, and shipping to maintain continuous productivity on the warehouse floor.
    •    Collaborate with Supervisors and Leads to balance workload, prioritize urgent orders, and minimize bottlenecks.
    •    Monitor wave progress and adjust in real time to address delays, shortages, or operational constraints.
    •    Ensure accurate documentation of all outbound shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping confirmations.
    •    Identify and correct order or inventory discrepancies prior to shipment; record errors to support continuous improvement initiatives.
    •    Assist in maintaining accurate KPI tracking (e.g., throughput, order accuracy, on-time shipping) and support manual reporting as needed.
    •    Work closely with Supply Chain and Inventory Control teams to resolve shortages, overages, and order issues impacting outbound flow.
    •    Support order processing, including allocation, release, and troubleshooting within the WMS.
    •    Assist on the warehouse floor as needed, including pallet breakdown, wrapping, labeling, loading, and shipment verification.
    •    Ensure all outbound processes and procedures are documented, accurate, and up to date.
    •    Maintain system integrity within WMS, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
    •    Assist with Customer pickup and priority orders, including same-day, ensuring expedited processing and shipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

2+ years of related job experience preferred.

RF handheld experience preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

 

  

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above should height and below the waist. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.
