About the Position
As a member of the Children’s Forum Outreach and Communications (OC) Team, the OC Analyst will provide support through content development, organizational communications, and engage in other marketing efforts across the Children’s Forum’s programs, initiatives, and services.
To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management, demonstrate effective communication skills, and be able to work both independently and/or within a team environment. You will contribute to the daily operations of the Children’s Forum by providing organizational and communications support to our associates, clients, and external partners.
Responsibilities
• Create and distribute engaging content across various platforms, which may include drafting press releases, newsletters, reports, presentations, conference or training materials.
• Assist in the daily management of the company’s social media presence, including content creation, posting, and engagement.
• Monitor the Children's Forum and partner program websites, and collaborate with IT Helpdesk as needed to submit web page updates.
• Coordinate with Graphics Designer/Outreach and Communications Department to support procurement, content and design, translation, ordering, and inventory of various outreach, communication, and marketing materials.
• Collaborate and contribute to managing internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
• Support conferences, outreach events, and annual Children’s Week Florida activities, by providing virtual and on-site assistance as needed.
• Maintain regular monthly communication with the Forum’s community outreach volunteers across the state, including members of the Early Learning Quality Initiatives Ambassador Program.
• Provide customer service and front office support, which includes the following:
o conveying friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor
o covering front desk responsibilities (e.g., managing front door entrance, greeting visitors, and accepting deliveries)
o mailing packages via UPS, upon request
o sorting and distributing incoming mail
o maintaining a professional lobby presence
• Participate in meetings, trainings, workshops, and conferences as requested, which includes in-person and virtual opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Graduation from high school and two years of work experience; preference given if work is in an office environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and complete multiple work assignments in a timely manner, with attention to details.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in using word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
• Technology skills to develop presentations, create reports, and use virtual meeting platforms (i.e. Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canva, TEAMs).
• Knowledge of services, supports, and systems that serve children and families, particularly Florida’s system for early childhood services.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work remotely and must have reliable internet connection.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed for virtual and in-person events.
