Job Summary:

SteelHold Inc. is looking for a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a strategic sales territory. This role is responsible for increasing market share and driving revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory. This field-based position focuses on proactive business development, requiring the ability to identify new project sites and cultivate long-term professional relationships with contractors. By leveraging a company vehicle and mobile inventory, you will provide immediate product availability and close sales directly at the job site.

 

Position Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to optimize territory profitability through disciplined prospecting and consultative relationship building. The Representative will manage the full sales lifecycle - from initial lead identification to on-site negotiation - ensuring a consistent pipeline of new business and providing the high level of service required to retain established accounts.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sells fasteners and accessories directly to contractors at job sites.
  • Manages and grows a defined sales territory, meeting monthly and quarterly quotas.
  • Delivers inventory using a company-provided box truck.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Builds lasting customer relationships through on-site visits and proactive service.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and logistics.
  • Tracks sales performance and report regularly to management.
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned.

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
  •  At least 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in construction or industrial supply required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfortable working with contractors, jobsite expectations, and the fasteners they use every day.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience handling and processing sales orders and collecting payments.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and basic logistics.
  • Ability to follow all safety regulations and company safety standards.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, office equipment, and tools.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak effectively to communicate and perform job duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret printed and electronic materials.
  • Ability to travel locally to meetings, trainings, or events.

 

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary $40,000-$60,000 with uncapped commission
  • OTE $100,000 +

Employment is contingent upon:
