Position Summary: The Packaging Operator I is responsible for packaging of flavors (powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions and extracts) per directions on each batch ticket. This role is to work closely with the Batch Compounders to package batches with food safety, quality, efficiency and accuracy priorities. This role fills production orders from production equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks. Must accurately fill the required packaging type, read and apply labels and follow safety procedures. The role is responsible for packaging the correct finished product quantity with the correct label requirements.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents
  • Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning
  • Transfer materials, set up equipment, supplies and packaging materials efficiently.
  • Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in making our products.
  • Promptly observe and clearly communicate food or other product quality matters to Shift Leads or Management.
  • Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
  • Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.
