Summary

As a Painter, you'll be responsible for the efficient, high-quality completion of assigned painting tasks throughout the resort. This role also assists with Maintenance requests as needed to help maintain a well-kept and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 7:30pm but will include schedule fluctuations on occasion in order to accommodate operational needs or special projects. 

We're looking for someone who can...

  • Complete painting projects to specified standards.
  • Carry out assigned wood staining projects.
  • Perform proper prep work before painting or staining.
  • Keep the paint room clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of paint and related supplies.
  • Caulk bathtubs as needed.
  • Repair and replace baseboards.

Qualifications

  • Required | 2+ years' experience in painting/staining
  • Desirable | General maintenance experience 
  • Flexible work availability including weekends required
  • Equivalent education, skills, and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be considered

Collaboration & Engagement

As a Painter, you will work under the direct  guidance of the Maintenance Manager. In addition to your home department, you will regularly work with the Housekeeping team. You will not oversee other staff and can expect a moderate level of interaction with guests and the public.



Foundational & Prerequisite Skills

  • Intermediate written composition, comprehension, safety-consciousness, English (speaking, reading, writing), basic math, general troubleshooting, and operation of hand and power tools.
  • Advanced  painting proficiency.

Learn on the Job

  • Basic calculation of discounts, interest, proportions, and volume, general computer use, general machine/equipment troubleshooting and repair, and familiarity with standalone AC units.
  • Intermediate  OSHA/L&I compliance, walkie-talkie use, and electrical familiarity.
