The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Part-Time Student Technical PE for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Cary, NC, you will:

 

• Work closely with a supervisor or other engineering personnel to support product testing, design and review.
• Support the maintenance of documentation for each design in a neat and organized fashion for approval by the supervisor and other engineering personnel.
• Perform other engineering tasks as directed under the supervision of an engineering supervisor or mentor.
• Both on-the-job and classroom training will be provided.

 

This position is not available to students on immigration visas

What Skills You Need

• Ideally, you will be pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following; lectrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science; others may apply.

• Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
• Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior standing students are preferred, Senior standing and those pursuing Advanced degrees may apply.
• Graduation date of May 2027 or later  

• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Available to work 10-20 or more hours/week during the academic year
• Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
• Must be able to commute to the work location in Cary, North Carolina, on a daily basis year-round
