Summary
The Part-Time Summer Records and Document Management Assistants will work as part of a team to review, organize, scan, index, upload, retain, and dispose of business records in accordance with company policies and government records management requirements. This position is ideal for students, recent graduates, or individuals seeking experience in office administration, records management, information governance, or government contracting environments.
The project involves processing approximately 100 boxes of physical records and converting appropriate documents to electronic records stored in Microsoft SharePoint.
Essential Functions
- Review physical files and documents for completeness and proper classification
- Sort, organize, and prepare documents for scanning and electronic storage
- Scan paper records using document imaging equipment
- Upload electronic files to Microsoft SharePoint and ensure proper file naming and indexing
- Verify scanned documents for accuracy and quality control
- Apply records retention schedules and assist with document disposition activities
- Label, archive, store, or securely dispose of records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive and proprietary information
- Track project progress and maintain records inventories
- Asist with general administrative and records management tasks as assigned
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $18.00-$19.00 per hour negotiable depending upon education and experience.
