Partnerships and Marketing Manager

SUMMARY:

MV Ventures (“MVV”) is seeking a Partnerships and Marketing Manager to support the brand partnerships, marketing, and revenue generating functions of the organization. While primarily focused on service, activation and relationship management, this position will also support sales and other revenue generating efforts and take on additional projects for the marketing/programming department. This position is crucial in building and maintaining long-term, trusting relationships with corporate partners across the real estate and event entities at Viking Lakes, as well as managing various elements of marketing for the Viking Lakes campus, events and programming. 

Additionally, this individual will lead partnership initiatives on event days, regional marketing events, and special joint venture projects with other stakeholders and entities. This will require an enthusiastic and pragmatic candidate who has a passion for partnerships, marketing and project management with the ability to be organized and detail oriented. The ideal candidate will have experience executing marketing partnerships and marketing related activities in an agency, sports team, event or entertainment property, brand, mixed use real estate, or other similar environment. 


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Partnerships:

  • Responsible for overall day-to-day account management including contract activation and fulfillment, strategic direction, and budget for corporate partners across all MVV properties
  • Work with stakeholders in developing creative platforms and engagement activations, ensuring alignment with partner goals, objectives, and KPIs
  • Support the sales process through the development of pitch decks and lead internal processes to define sponsorable assets for Viking Lakes events and other initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to execute partner deliverables
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting partner relationships at an executive level
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key account stakeholders
  • Manage all assigned partnership deliverables, ensuring quality standards and meeting client expectations
  • Collaborate with sales team for retention, upsell opportunities, contract amendments, and extensions
  • Develop partner recaps and track key account metrics against partnership goals (e.g., brand awareness, traffic drivers, lead generation) 
  • Communicate the progress of marketing initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients and identify areas for improvement to meet sales and activation goals
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on account activity, growth, and renewal risk assessments
  • Manage the internal review and approval process for partners/sponsors of third-party events (i.e. Premiere League Lacrosse, Minnesota Aurora, etc.) to ensure compliance with contractual agreements

 Marketing:

  • Manage marketing related collaboration with stakeholders from related entities and campus partners (Minnesota Vikings, Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, city/regional partners, real estate tenants, etc.)
  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation
  • In conjunction with the residential teams, coordinate and manage advertising and programming budgets for all Minnesota properties with the goal of driving visibility and traffic
  • Influencer management 
  • Brand campaign management
  • Ensure external partners adhere to Viking Lakes style guide and brand standards
  • Coordination of social media accounts, including shared responsibility for posting, content calendar and creative development
  • Shared responsibility for implementation of paid advertising budgets 
  • Other marketing related responsibilities as determined by the Marketing Director

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in partnership marketing and business development, with a focus in either sponsorship activation, client services, or marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in two or more of the following areas: consumer marketing, sponsorships, event marketing/ticket sales, brand strategy, organic social media, paid social media, SEO, real estate marketing
  • Understanding of modern marketing concepts, strategies and best practices
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and PowerPoint preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will have experience in several (but not necessarily all) of the following areas, as well as a willingness to learn the rest: 

  • Real estate (residential and/or commercial)
  • B2B sales and marketing 
  • Brand partnerships/sponsorship activation
  • Event programming 
  • Content production 
  • Understanding of SEO, lead attribution, and ROI
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors
  • Communications/public relations 
  • Experience implementing AI within marketing initiatives 
  • Familiarity with residential platforms, including the ILS sites Apartments.com and Zillow

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 20 lbs. Will be seated during majority of workday, though will be on your feet and mobile for extended periods depending on job duty.
  • Regularly performs computer work and operates office equipment.
