Job Description

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

CUSTOMER

  1. Project a positive, helpful, and professional attitude to our customer and coworkers.
  2. Answer incoming customer phone calls promptly and politely.
  3. Resolve any customer disputes in a manner both beneficial to customer and TCC.
  4. Promote additional sales to customers by suggesting additional parts or services (up-selling) related to current purchases.

SALES

  1. Establish annual goals and objectives for sales.
  2. Develop marketing strategy.
  3. Review all product lines to determine profitability and marketability and maintain inventory based upon being beneficial to both customer and Company.
  4. Devise a workable promotion and advertising plan to maximize sales while minimizing expense.
  5. Conduct monthly staff meetings.
  6. Ride with Outside Parts Sales Representatives monthly.
  7. Develop and maintain total budget for Parts Department.
  8. Help implement sales/marketing plan.

INVENTORY

  1. Maintain level of inventory consistent with needs based on average monthly sales. Inventory level should ensure inventory turn rate designated for store is maintained.
  2. Oversee perpetual parts inventory system.
  3. Review monthly aged parts reports.
  4. Review bulk purchase needs with General Parts Manager.
  5. Establish goals and objectives for control of averaged parts for all locations.
  6. Review monthly and quarterly parts returns to manufacturers.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Establish a clean and safe work place.
  2. Control core levels.
  3. Devise employee schedules to improve customer satisfaction, improve efficiency and control overtime.
  4. Meet weekly with Service Manager to discuss topics and relations between departments.
  5. Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all Parts Department employees.
  6. Perform annual evaluations of all Parts Department employees.
  7. Assist in the collection of past due accounts.
