Job Description

At The Fertility Institute of New Orleans (FINO), we are dedicated to patient education, empathy, and expertise as the foundation for successful fertility care. If you share our passion for supporting patients on their journey, we invite you to join our exceptional team.

We are currently seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive excellent customer service and smooth navigation through their fertility care journey.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 7:30am - 4:00pm and Fridays from 7:30am - 2:00pm. You will also work some Saturdays from 7:00am - 12:00pm, paid at time and a half. 

Responsibilities

  • Register patients, confirming demographic and insurance information.
  • Prepare and print daily encounter forms, attach necessary paperwork for monitoring, and support the clinical team’s needs.
  • Exit patients’ post-appointment, collect co-pays, schedule future appointments, and process charge entries.
  • Answer and triage phone calls, assist with patient portal issues, and ensure prompt communication.
  • Ensure patient consents are current and accurate.
  • Maintain an organized and full office schedule.
  • Manage office supplies, open and sort mail, and assist with scanning or purging paper charts.
  • Provide medical record releases and prepare letters for patients upon request.
  • Maintain a clean reception area and monitor patient flow.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of physician office experience in patient check-in and clinic preparation.
  • Experience in infertility or OB/GYN physician offices (preferred).
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records and computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and a positive experience.
