A Brief Overview


The Payment Operations Specialist I is responsible for providing operational support of the Bank's ACH and Check exception functions and risk monitoring reviews. This position is responsible for performing time sensitive functions with established regulations and rules using the Bank's procedures and policies as guidance. The Payment Operations Specialist reports to the department supervisor.

What you will do

  • Performs and balances the Bank's exception item processes according to established Regulations and Rules.
  • Reviews and processes the receipt of Death Notice Entries (DNEs). Accepts, records, and resolves all claims for reclamations from US Treasury Departments.
  • Resolves all ACH disputes and Check Adjustment Research.
  • Stays up to date with established federal regulations and rules by completing continued education and training.
  • Assists retail branches by performing research on customer related inquiries as needed.

Other Qualifications/Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED and minimum 2 years banking preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
