Under the general supervision of the Manager of Compliance, TRS Time and Attendance, the incumbent serves as a payroll, time and attendance, and compliance analyst responsible for supporting campus-wide UCPath pay-related reporting, time and attendance processes, and Tracker/I-9 compliance activities. The position coordinates and participates in the analysis, auditing, troubleshooting, and resolution of payroll and system-related issues; identifies corrective and preventive actions; and supports continuous process improvement to promote accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness. The incumbent conducts research, generates ad hoc reports, audits payroll records, and provides subject-matter expertise to ensure salary and payroll data remain accurate and current. The role also supports functional testing and implementation activities for the time and attendance system, maintains user resources, assists with training development and delivery, and evaluates system issues and user feedback to recommend enhancements. In addition, the incumbent advises departmental administrators on Form I-9, work authorization, and Tracker procedures; monitors dashboards and reports to ensure compliance; analyzes and resolves Salesforce cases; and audits Tracker/UCPath integration for consistency. The position also manages special projects by defining scope, tracking milestones, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring deliverables are completed within established timelines. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in accordance with applicable UCLA policies and departmental guidelines. Onsite presence may be required based on business operational needs, including but not limited to meetings, trainings, audits, system testing, project implementation activities, coverage requirements, compliance-related work, or other department priorities. The incumbent must be available to report to the designated worksite as directed by management.

  • The budgeted salary range for this position is: $70,900.00 - $87,500.00 
  • This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to UCLA and work on campus at least 2-3 days per week.

Campus Human Resources organization provides a full range of human resource management services through various units, including Benefits, Central Resource Unit, Compensation and Classification, Employee and Labor Relations, HR & Payroll Operations Center, Learning and Organizational Development, Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, and Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning.The Central Resource Unit (CRU) serves as a trusted payroll partner for the Bruin community, helping departments navigate payroll, UCPath, reporting, case management, training, and compliance-related processes. CRU supports areas such as general ledger and gross pay payroll issues, Employment Eligibility Verification/I-9 and Nonresident Alien processes, reporting and analytics, and collaboration with UCPath and campus stakeholders.

Campus Human Resources provides a full range of human resource management services through its various units, including Health and Welfare Benefits, Compensation and Classification, Personnel Policy development and compliance, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, HR Information Systems, the Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, Learning and Organizational Development, and the HR & Payroll Operations Center. The HR & Payroll Operations Center provides human resources and payroll services to a diverse client pool and assists with ongoing campus initiatives and special projects.
