Position Summary
The Personal Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals for an executive and their family. This role requires exceptional culinary skills, discretion, flexibility, and the ability to accommodate varying dietary preferences and schedules. The Personal Chef will oversee menu planning, grocery procurement, meal preparation, kitchen organization, and occasional catering for private family gatherings and special events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Meal Planning & Preparation
Plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and specialty meals as requested.
Develop customized menus based on family preferences, nutritional goals, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients.
Prepare meals in advance when appropriate and provide organized storage and reheating instructions.
Ensure meals are presented professionally and meet high culinary standards.
Accommodate special dietary needs, food allergies, and preferences.
Grocery Shopping & Inventory Management
Purchase fresh ingredients and household food supplies.
Maintain inventory of pantry, refrigerator, and freezer items.
Manage food budgets and track grocery expenditures.
Source premium ingredients from local and specialty vendors when appropriate.
Kitchen Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any repair needs.
Manage food storage and minimize waste.
Event Support
Plan, prepare, and execute meals for family gatherings, dinner parties, holiday events, and special occasions.
Coordinate menus, food presentation, and service needs for private events.
Assist with event setup, execution, and cleanup as needed.
Coordinate with outside vendors or catering partners when appropriate.
Household Support
Coordinate meal schedules around executive and family calendars.
Maintain confidentiality regarding household activities, schedules, and personal information.
Adapt quickly to changing schedules, guest requests, and last-minute meal needs.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience, preferably as a private chef, personal chef, executive chef, or in a high-end hospitality environment.
Demonstrated experience preparing a wide variety of cuisines.
Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and food allergies.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and maintain strict confidentiality.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
Preferred
Culinary degree or formal culinary training from an accredited institution.
Experience working in a private residence or family office environment.
Experience catering private events and special occasions.
Knowledge of specialty diets including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, keto, and other nutrition-focused meal plans.
