Overview We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented professional to join our team as Director – Media Investment. This role will be responsible for driving media investment excellence across client portfolios, leading strategic negotiations with media partners, optimizing media efficiencies, and ensuring superior value delivery. The incumbent will work closely with planning, client leadership, and activation teams to deliver effective investment strategies that support client business objectives and agency growth. Responsibilities • Lead media investment and buying strategies across digital and traditional media platforms • Develop investment frameworks that maximize media efficiency, effectiveness, and return on investment • Manage commercial negotiations with publishers, broadcasters, platforms, and media partners to secure the best rates and value-added opportunities • Collaborate with Planning and Client Leadership teams to align investment decisions with overall media and business strategies • Monitor media market trends, pricing benchmarks, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and risks • Ensure achievement of client KPIs, investment efficiencies, and profitability targets • Drive governance and compliance across media buying, billing, reconciliations, and financial controls • Lead investment reviews with clients and provide strategic recommendations based on market insights and campaign performance • Support new business pitches through competitive investment strategies and media partnership opportunities • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media owners, publishers, and platform partners • Mentor and develop investment team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence • Champion innovation by identifying emerging platforms, technologies, and buying methodologies that enhance client outcomes Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in Media Investment, Media Buying, Trading, or Commercial Media Operations within media agencies • Strong understanding of digital, television, print, radio, OOH, and emerging media ecosystems • Proven experience managing significant media budgets and delivering commercial value for clients • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret media and business performance data • Experience managing teams and collaborating across multiple functions • Strong communication, presentation, and client management capabilities • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred Additional information Success Measures • Delivery of media investment efficiencies and savings targets • Strong media partner relationships and commercial outcomes • Improved campaign performance and client satisfaction • Contribution to agency revenue growth and profitability • Successful support of new business wins and client retention • Team development, engagement, and succession planning
