Medicilon USA Corp is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist I to join our Pharmacology team, focusing on immunology and cell–based assays to support drug discovery and preclinical research. The successful candidate will independently design, execute, and analyze in vitro experiments related to immune cell function, cytokine profiling, and mechanism-of-action studies. This position is ideal for a scientist with a strong foundation in cellular immunology and experience with in vivo approaches who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced CRO environment.
Key Responsibilities
Study Execution & Laboratory Research
- Conduct in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo experiments under the direction of the Principal Scientist or Study Director.
- Perform laboratory techniques including cell-based assays, animal studies, flow cytometry, molecular and protein analysis, and other related experimental procedures.
- Assist in the execution of study protocols, including sample preparation, dosing, data collection, and routine assay procedures.
- Support the optimization and troubleshooting of assays and experimental procedures to ensure reproducibility and data quality.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and materials necessary for study execution.
Data Collection & Documentation
- Accurately record experimental procedures, observations, and results in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in data analysis, interpretation, and preparation of reports or presentations for internal review.
- Ensure data integrity and proper documentation practices consistent with GLP-like standards and internal quality requirements.
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with the Principal Scientist, Study Directors, and cross-functional teams to execute assigned studies on schedule.
- Contribute to the preparation of study protocols, experimental summaries, data reports, and supporting documentation for client projects.
- Participate in internal meetings to discuss experimental progress and study outcomes.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for all laboratory activities.
- Support quality management system (QMS) initiatives including documentation updates, equipment qualification activities, and internal audits where applicable.
Organizational Support
- Contribute to maintaining a well-organized laboratory environment, including inventory management, reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance.
- Stay informed of new laboratory techniques and scientific developments relevant to assigned projects.
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Scientist or management to support project and organizational needs.
Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or related field with 2–5 years of relevant experience (CRO/biotech preferred).
- Proven hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry (≥10-color panels) and immune cell–based assays.
- Strong understanding of immune cell biology, activation markers, and cytokine signaling.
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, or FCS Express.
- Experience with ELISA, MSD, or Luminex assays for cytokine quantification.
- Experience with in vivo techniques, including dosing, harvesting, imaging of rodents, is a plus.
- Excellent data interpretation, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to collaborative team goals.
Compensation: $70,000.00 per year
