Position Title: School-Based Physical Therapist Assistant
Compensation: $35-45/hr
Job Duties:
- Execute individual treatment plans for students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist supervisor
- Regularly reassess clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progression towards goals, and openly communicate your findings to your supervisor
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff
- Open to feedback from the PT supervisor, Lead PT and/or Clinical Director
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Pediatric experience from infancy/early intervention to teenage years of multiple diagnoses
- Graduate of Physical Therapist Assistant School accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our patients
- Must be willing to complete Physical Therapy treatments both in-person and via telehealth (if clinically appropriate)
- Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of pediatric patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc.)
- Be highly flexible and agile (we are living and working in a very dynamic time right now)
- Be highly collaborative, team-oriented and customer service driven
Licensing/Credential and/or Education Requirements:
- Must possess the California Physical Therapy Assistant License.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time.
- Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Stooping/crouching, reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
Pay Range: $35-45/hr
