Physical Therapy Assistant - Full Time

Shift:
Hours:  40 per Week, 8 Hour Shifts

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for assisting the physician in providing direct patient care and health teaching designed to meet the age/developmental specific needs of the health care patients.
  • Treatments follow rationale and goals established in assessment. Treats patients with appropriate frequency and length of time according to evaluation and individual patient needs.
  • Performs direct patient care at a highly professional level and on a timely basis to meet the daily needs of the inpatient and outpatient schedules.
  • Completes documentation in timely manner and accurately with required information.  Including 10th visit progress notes weekly notes/discharges.
  • Assists physical therapist with the development of treatment plans and goals, as well as discharge plans and summaries.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited PT Assistant program.
  • NM PT Assistant Licensure. 
  • Current BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain such certification
  • 2 years Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred. 
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with physicians and patients
