Location: The role requires regular travel to patient's homes across Miami‑Dade County.

Are you passionate about helping others regain their strength and mobility? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Home Health team! In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients as they practice exercises or functional activities.
  • Monitors patient's progress and provides feedback to the physical therapist
  • Communicate with or instruct caregivers or family members on the patient's therapeutic activities or treatment plans. 
  • Performs routine treatment/care, services and procedures in accordance with plan of care delegated and supervised by the therapist 

Requirements

  • Associates degree obtained from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) and the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). 
  • Valid Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies.
Language Skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish required in order to communicate with our patient community
