About the Role 

 

The Plant Controller leads financial operations at the plant to ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and financial integrity. The role manages plant accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis while supporting operational decision-making. The position drives financial performance, ensures compliance, and aligns plant operations with overall business objectives.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain ownership of plant financial performance ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analysis.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes in alignment with corporate timelines.
  • Ensure accuracy of general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory valuation.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost

optimization.

  • Partner with plant leadership to monitor production costs and improve financial performance.
  • Analyze operational data to identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Support capital investment decisions through financial modelling and analysis.
  • Ensure alignment between financial performance and operational objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance staff within the plant.
  • Establish performance expectations and ensure accountability across the finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure readiness of financial documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy

 

Additional Expectations

 

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 7–10 years of experience in accounting or finance within manufacturing environments required.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and support operational decisions.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global operations.
