Responsibilities

 

How you’ll make an impact in this role 

  • Installs, repairs, and maintains the facility's water supply, wastewater, sewage, storm drainage, and medical gas piping networks. 
  • Services domestic water pumps, steam stations, heating and condensation systems, and water filtration equipment, while managing backflow and cross-connection prevention. 
  • Conducts preventive maintenance, adheres to standard safety precautions using PPE, and tests critical fire protection systems including valves, pumps, and deluge systems. 
  • Diagnoses system failures to determine repair or replacement needs and responds to after-hours emergency situations to resolve immediate safety hazards. 
  • Coordinates with other trades, informs personnel of work order statuses to comply with building codes, and participates in meetings, training, and special projects. 

Qualifications

What minimum requirements you’ll need 

Must have one or more of the following: 

License:  

  • Relevant license with 3 years’ experience 

Education: 

  • Graduate of trade school 

Work Experience: 

  • 5 years of related experience in lieu of license 
  • Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
