About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and motivated PM Pharmacy Supervisor to lead our evening operations at our Skilled Nursing Pharmacy in Hayward, CA. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise all PM shift pharmacy operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Verify and dispense medications for skilled nursing facility (SNF) residents with a focus on patient safety
- Mentor, coach, and manage pharmacy technicians and support staff during evening hours
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA and Board of Pharmacy standards
- Coordinate with nursing facility staff to resolve medication-related issues and urgent requests
- Monitor and maintain controlled substance logs, inventory, and cycle fill processes
- Perform clinical drug utilization reviews (DUR) and intervene on drug interactions or contraindications
Requirements:
- Active California Pharmacist License (RPh) in good standing — required
- 2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing pharmacy
- Prior supervisory or lead pharmacist experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of SNF medication management, OBRA regulations, and consultant pharmacy practices
- Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and electronic medication records
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ability to work PM/evening shifts, including potential weekends or holidays
