Description

The Power Sports Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role involves coordinating service schedules, providing estimates, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. The Service Advisor is responsible for facilitating efficient service operations while maintaining clear communication with customers and technicians. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, technical knowledge of power sports equipment, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Requirements

Customer Interaction & Communication:

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Provide detailed explanations of service needs, repair processes, and costs.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Keep customers informed of service progress and notify them of any changes to the timeline or cost estimates.

Service Coordination:

• Schedule and coordinate service appointments to maximize department efficiency.
• Create and maintain accurate service records for each customer.
• Review work orders with technicians to ensure accurate completion of requested services.
• Prioritize and allocate repair orders based on customer needs and technician availability.

Sales & Upselling:

• Identify opportunities to recommend additional services or repairs that enhance equipment performance.
• Educate customers about maintenance schedules, extended service plans, and accessory options.
• Assist in promoting service specials and packages to encourage customer loyalty.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of power sports equipment, including motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and UTVs.
• Accurately diagnose and interpret customer-reported issues to recommend appropriate services.
• Stay updated on new products, service techniques, and manufacturer standards.

Operational Efficiency:

• Ensure timely completion of all repair and maintenance tasks by coordinating effectively with technicians.
• Monitor parts inventory levels and assist in ordering necessary components.
• Maintain a clean and organized service desk area.
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations within the service department.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a service advisor role, preferably within the power sports, automotive, marine, or similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of power sports equipment and maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple service orders efficiently.
• Familiarity with service management software and tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
