Job Description

Join Our Team as a Practice Administrator!

Eagle Physicians is seeking an experienced, dynamic Practice Administrator to lead the daily operations of our Eagle Gastroenterology practice. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced healthcare operations professional who excels at building high-performing teams, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of senior practice management experience overseeing a large physician practice (7+ providers) and possess strong leadership, operational, financial, and human resources expertise.


Schedule

  • 40+ hours weekly
  • Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and evening hours as needed
  • Onsite position


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of senior practice management experience in a large physician practice (7+ providers).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Equivalent education and relevant healthcare management experience will be considered.

Support staff hired at a 0.50 FTE or greater on or after April 1, 2024, are eligible for our structured retention bonus program:

Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave

After one year of employment and 1,250 hours worked, Eagle provides up to two weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child. Leave is prorated based on FTE status.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates good judgment, professionalism and creativity in organizing, coordinating and leading essential site functions.
  • Makes effective and efficient use of the resources available at the site and from Eagle.
  • Effectively communicates and reinforces to support staff the importance of providing outstanding patient experiences, and maintaining a professional, safe and clean working environment.

  • Works with staff, site supervisors, MD Site Coordinator, site physicians and Eagle Central Office staff to develop site objectives, and short-long range steps to accomplish objectives; effectively communicates objectives and progress / problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Makes good decisions within the scope of their responsibilities and implements them effectively.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve the site’s cost-effectiveness.
  • Makes adjustments to changing circumstances to minimize adverse impact on patient care and productivity, and makes adjustments to reduce costs (e.g., PLT, over-time).
  • Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal skills in dealing with support staff, patients, physicians & extenders.
  • Contributes to developing effective teamwork among the physicians, the support staff and between the two groups.
  • Establishes and enables an atmosphere at their site of professionalism, high productivity, efficiency, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Appropriately takes the initiative on some issues / projects, and appropriately seeks advance input / support / approval before proceeding on other issues / projects.
  • Effective liaison between Eagle central office, site physicians and / or support staff.
  • Works effectively with Eagle staff members outside her / his site and completes important tasks on a timely basis relative to EBS, Eagle IT, Finance, Human Resources, COO and CEO.
  • Contributes positively to Eagle-wide objectives and goals through active participation in Site Administrator meetings, helping with special projects, assisting other individual site administrators, attending quarterly provider meetings and other appropriate means.
  • Effective in prioritizing their own duties and dealing with work pressures and demands.

  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations as indicated.
