Role Overview

The Practice Manager (PM) serves as a critical operational partner to consultants and clients, ensuring the successful execution of a variety of projects from initiation through completion. The PM oversees the operational execution of consulting engagements, partnering with consultants and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with exceptional client service. This role acts as the central hub for project organization, supporting consultants by managing project logistics, maintaining project documentation, coordinating schedules, and facilitating timely communication with clients and project teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with consultants to successfully execute client engagements and meet project timelines.

  • Serve as a primary operational point of contact for clients throughout project engagements.

  • Foster positive working relationships with client stakeholders through proactive communication and responsiveness.

  • Coordinate client meetings, interviews, and project milestones to ensure a seamless client experience.

  • Generate project dashboards, metrics and reporting tools to support project visibility, resource planning, and decision-making.

  • Conduct weekly reviews of revenue forecasts and utilization allocations to identify resource availability, staffing needs, and adjustments required to support upcoming assignments

  • Review and maintain revenue forecasting

  • Create and modify client assessment surveys utilizing Smartsheet.

  • Establish and maintain project infrastructure, including collaboration Teams workspaces, document repositories, project plans, dashboard and reporting tools.

  • Create and maintain visually sophisticated templates (e.g. reports, slide decks, etc.)

  • Assist consultants in preparing client-facing materials and project deliverables.

  • Ensure project information is current across internal systems and reporting platforms.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes, templates, and tools.

  • Drive the project closeout process, ensuring all project documentation, deliverables, and key materials are finalized, organized, and maintained in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in project management/coordination, project management support, operations, consulting support, or a related role.

  • Experience supporting consulting, healthcare, professional services, or other client-facing project environments preferred.

  • Organized, assertive, and self-directed; able to rapidly prioritize and pivot as needed.

  • A self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment and can effectively manage priorities with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional executive presence and the ability to create concise, compelling written communications.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficiency with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Salary range: $80,000-120,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
