Job Description:- Provide assistance in the projection, recordkeeping of student progress, credentialing and course completion.
- Provide students with career technical training instruction, direction and assistance in designated area of instruction.
- Participate on student evaluation panels; prepare required documentation and evaluations using CIS as well as other systems of documentation. Enter case notes into the CIS systems as required and in accordance with established timelines.
- In coordination with work-based learning (WBL) staff; develop work based training sites on center, in the community and at home-based sites; monitor and document student progress at work based training sites monthly.
- Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to student. Prepare related reports.
- Lead and facilitate classroom lectures, discussions, and hands-on laboratory skill sessions covering essential nursing assistant competencies.
- Deliver targeted test preparation strategies, practice exams, and skill mock-ups to maximize student certification passing rates.
- Create a supportive, respectful, and safe learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and fosters student confidence.
- Valid RN license that is active, current and in good standing.
- Must have a minimum two (2) years of nursing experience, and least one (1) of which shall be in the provision of a long-term facility.
- Must meet (1) one of the following requirements: Successful completion of a three (3) semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered an accredited post-secondary educational institution
- OR completion of a 40-hours continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that was awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization;
- Or one year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical education;
- Or one year of full time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of long-term care experience required Job Corps or related program experience.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to interact with diverse individuals including those in specialized populations, and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
