Job Description
The Pricing Analyst II position at BAE Systems Space and Mission Systems (SMS) involves building the costing & pricing for proposals to our customer for products that consistently involve cutting edge technologies. As a pricing analyst, you will be working in the Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit (SCU) which delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.

What You’ll Do:
- Be the dedicated financial resource for proposal teams.
- Be responsible for all aspects of costing & pricing in support of customer proposals.
- Support and assist in proposal development in both unclassified and classified environments.
- Perform Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW) analysis and compliance related to cost, schedule, and proposal submittals.
- Organize pricing structure to align with the customer request.
- Work with Program Managers to develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Pull historical actuals for use in building Basis of Estimates (BOE’s).
- Review all matter of financial data that would help to build a quality/compliant proposal package.
- Draft and present PowerPoint slides in support of the financials for proposal opportunities.
- Prepare financial data packages for RFP/Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliance (as needed).
- Other finance-related tasks related to proposal lifecycle, which includes new business proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and program change proposals.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Proven capability of reviewing RFP and drafting pricing structure that aligns with customer request.
- Experience developing cost estimates using historical actuals and feedback/input from functional estimators.
- Experience generating BOE's.
- Excellent communication skills.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Business acumen.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel to perform financial analysis.
- Experience working in defense and/or aerospace in a finance role.
- Comfortable working in an environment with government regulations that influence pricing decisions.
- Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare presentation materials.
- Willingness to learn & grow in role.
- Function in a high paced dynamic team-work environment.
