Job Description

Position: PRN Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Integrated Health of Southern Illinois – Carterville Office

Hours of Availability: Full-time, Monday-Friday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, through October 2026. Position will transition to PRN/as-needed status after October. Potential opportunity for Saturday hours between 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Pay range: $18-$24/hr

 

Position Summary:

Integrated Health of Southern Illinois is seeking a dependable, efficient, and patient-focused Medical Assistant (MA) to support clinic operations and medical providers in a collaborative outpatient setting. This position will initially function as a full-time role through October 2026 before transitioning into a PRN/as-needed position based on clinic needs.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care and whole-body wellness. This role works closely with providers and clinical staff to support patient flow, treatment coordination, and overall clinic efficiency.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of medical providers

• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers

• Assist with procedures and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic

• Perform patient education and follow-up communication as directed

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

• Adhere to clinic policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support coordinated patient care

• Deliver excellent patient service that reflects the values of Integrated Health of Southern Illinois
