The Process Coach is a key manufacturing leader responsible for process consistency, optimization, and performance for one or two full manufacturing lines in a 24-hour operation. As a core member of the Line Triad, this role uses standard tools and continuous improvement practices to eliminate losses, strengthen capability, and ensure reliable, repeatable execution across all shifts. 

 

The Process Coach owns the definition, execution, improvement, and sustainment of standards. By partnering closely with line team members, Operations, Tech Services, Quality, and Engineering, this role drives True Efficiency (TE), reduces waste, and ensures high quality, stable performance. 

 

Process Ownership & Optimization 

  • Own all manufacturing processes for an assigned production line across a 24-hour operation
  • Ensure consistent execution of standard work across all shifts
  • Identify process gaps and variability; lead corrective actions to restore stability
  • Develop, implement, and sustain new standards and tools to drive loss elimination 

Performance Management & Loss Elimination 

  • Use structured problem solving and CI tools to eliminate losses, improve TE, and reduce waste and rework
  • Capture learnings and best practices and translate them into a current best approach
  • Track, analyze, and report line performance using accurate, reliable data 

Data Integrity & Systems 

  • Own data accuracy and integrity for the line
  • Ensure correct use of performance tracking systems and DMS execution across all shifts
  • Use data to proactively identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities 

Technical Troubleshooting & Support 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for process related technical issues
  • Troubleshoot and support resolution of breakdowns tied to process design, execution, or capability
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and prevent recurrence 

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Actively participate in LST (Line Structure Team) and daily operating meetings
  • Proactively report results, escalate issues, and request resources when needed
  • Partner with functional teams to support line reliability, quality, and productivity initiatives 

Quality & Standards Leadership 

  • Ensure quality standards are built into the process and executed consistently
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality events
  • Coach teams on proper process execution and adherence to standards 

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,900 - $111,950.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • 0-2 years of front-line supervisory skills and ability to lead a team-based approach to decision-making
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or operations experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, validated by your successful completion of a major improvement project.
