Procurement Associate
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Associate to manage the procurement of goods and services essential to the UDT operations. The buyer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and PO’s, managing inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining UDT quality standards and timely delivery, while aligning with company goals and market demands; they identify and resolve bottlenecks, implement process controls and improvements. Additionally collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth procurement flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings
- Issue requests for quotes and purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely processing
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing
- Track and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams to align purchasing strategies
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain
- Monitor Supply Chain sections of budgets and track expenditure.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like delivery time, inventory levels, cost per unit, and customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Identify potential supply chain disruptions, develop contingency plans, and manage risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of supply chain initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply chain management or related field preferred
- 1–5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Expertise in supply chain management software and systems
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with inventory planning and demand forecasting
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies and vendor management
- Familiarity with contract management and compliance
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Work Schedule:

- Monday to Friday (and Saturdays as needed)
