Description

Crayex Corporation is looking for a self-starter who will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment on the production/manufacturing floor and other areas related to compliance with SQF/ISO standards.

You will be working at a fast-paced company. Crayex is a trusted name in custom manufacturing since 1972. We specialize in polyethylene shrink, non-shrink, and specialty films and bags. 

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Cleaning the SQF production area. General cleaning includes but is not limited to:
  • Sweeping production area, removing clutter/debris, and when necessary, mopping production areas
  • Cleaning of resin unloading stations/pump stations
  • Cleaning ink from floors
  • Cleaning of material storage barrels and bins
  • Cleaning of trash can exteriors
  • Collection of soiled rags to designated bins
• Waste Management
  • Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins
  • Remove debris from work areas
• Surface Cleaning
  • Wiping down guardrails, handrails, steel columns, beams, console stations, cabinets, and other structures
• Conduct regular walk-throughs of assigned areas to identify cleaning needs and maintain high standard of cleanliness
• Adapt to changing facility needs as production grows, including adjusting cleaning routines and priorities
• Communicate clearly with supervisor and team members regarding issues, maintenance needs or areas requiring additional attention
• Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures
• Fully support, endorse and follow the guidelines of the HACCP & Food Safety Programs
• Other responsibilities as required        

Requirements:

OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 1 year of experience in janitorial or custodial work
• Ability to assess what needs to be cleaned and prioritize tasks based on daily conditions
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently with little supervision
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to coordinate with supervisors, operators, or others regarding supplies and facility needs
• Ability to walk and stand for periods of time and perform physical tasks across a large facility for the duration of the shift
• Good time management and task prioritization skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols and handle hazardous materials safely
• Ability to climb stairs

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery, dust and chemicals
• May work in high-traffic or high-hazard areas; must adapt to changing production needs

Compensation:

• Starting wage of $18.00 per hour
• Paid weekly
• Performance-based reviews and increases every three (3) months in the first year and then annually on the anniversary date

Shift Schedule:

• Day shift position available
• 8-hour shift
