Description
Crayex Corporation is looking for a self-starter who will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment on the production/manufacturing floor and other areas related to compliance with SQF/ISO standards.
You will be working at a fast-paced company. Crayex is a trusted name in custom manufacturing since 1972. We specialize in polyethylene shrink, non-shrink, and specialty films and bags.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Cleaning the SQF production area. General cleaning includes but is not limited to:
- Sweeping production area, removing clutter/debris, and when necessary, mopping production areas
- Cleaning of resin unloading stations/pump stations
- Cleaning ink from floors
- Cleaning of material storage barrels and bins
- Cleaning of trash can exteriors
- Collection of soiled rags to designated bins
- Waste Management
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins
- Remove debris from work areas
- Surface Cleaning
- Wiping down guardrails, handrails, steel columns, beams, console stations, cabinets, and other structures
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of assigned areas to identify cleaning needs and maintain high standard of cleanliness
- Adapt to changing facility needs as production grows, including adjusting cleaning routines and priorities
- Communicate clearly with supervisor and team members regarding issues, maintenance needs or areas requiring additional attention
- Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures
- Fully support, endorse and follow the guidelines of the HACCP & Food Safety Programs
- Other responsibilities as required
Requirements:
OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of experience in janitorial or custodial work
- Ability to assess what needs to be cleaned and prioritize tasks based on daily conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with little supervision
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to coordinate with supervisors, operators, or others regarding supplies and facility needs
- Ability to walk and stand for periods of time and perform physical tasks across a large facility for the duration of the shift
- Good time management and task prioritization skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and handle hazardous materials safely
- Ability to climb stairs
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery, dust and chemicals
- May work in high-traffic or high-hazard areas; must adapt to changing production needs

Compensation:
- Starting wage of $18.00 per hour
- Paid weekly
- Performance-based reviews and increases every three (3) months in the first year and then annually on the anniversary date
Shift Schedule:
- Day shift position available
- 8-hour shift
