POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Control Associate supports production planning, scheduling, and execution in a regulated manufacturing environment compliant with ISO 9001 and EFfCI requirements. This role is responsible for the accurate preparation, issuance, reconciliation, and archival of batch documentation; execution of ERP transactions; and coordination with Production, Quality, Technical, and Customer Service teams to ensure data integrity, material traceability, and on-time manufacturing execution.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Production Planning & Documentation Control
  • Issue controlled batch records, labels, and production documentation in accordance with approved master batch records, production schedules, and EFfCI GMP requirements.
  • Verify that all batch documentation is complete, accurate, legible, contemporaneous, original, and attributable prior to release to production.
  • Ensure production batch records are reconciled, closed, and submitted within 24 hours of production completion.
  • Scan and archive batch documentation into approved electronic document management systems in accordance with data integrity and record retention policies.
ERP & Inventory Control
  • Execute ERP transactions (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics D365, SAP) to ensure accurate inventory balances, material status, lot traceability, and transaction integrity.
  • Identify material discrepancies or risks prior to production start; initiate inventory cycle counts and coordinate corrections in accordance with SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate raw material, intermediates, and finished goods inventory records to support full lot traceability and recall readiness.
GMP Compliance & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Communicate proactively with Production, Quality, Technical, and Customer Service regarding production status, material availability, deviations, or improvement opportunities.
  • Support investigations related to documentation errors, inventory discrepancies, or scheduling issues, providing accurate data and timely responses.
  • Maintain action registers, communication logs, and planning trackers as required by SOPs and ISO 9001 / EFfCI expectations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and demonstrating compliance with procedures.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Support
  • Monitor and help reduce production downtime related to material availability or planning issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning efficiency, documentation accuracy, and inventory control.
  • Assist with physical inventories, cycle counts, and identification of process weaknesses that could impact compliance or manufacturing performance.
  • Perform additional duties and cross-training assignments as directed by the facility management team.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in production control, planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment
    • Prior experience in ISO 9001, EFfCI, or regulated chemical/manufacturing environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365, SAP, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
