Job Title: Production Manager

Classification: Salaried Exempt

Reports To: Operations Manager

Department: Plant Administration

Location: Plymouth, Indiana



Position Summary

The Production Manager is responsible and accountable for leading safe, efficient, and customer-focused production operations at the Plymouth, Indiana facility. This leader drives operational excellence through hands-on engagement, continuous improvement, and the development of people. The Production Manager builds strong partnerships across teams, fosters innovation, and empowers employees to achieve their full potential while delivering exceptional results for our customers.



Key Responsibilities


Safety & Well-Being

  • Lead with an unwavering commitment to a safety-first culture, ensuring every employee goes home safe, every day

  • Proactively identify risks, address concerns, and ensure timely resolution of safety issues

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, audits, and corrective action processes

  • Lead daily operations with a focus on efficiency, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction

  • Identify performance gaps and implement disciplined, data-driven solutions

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging new ideas and practical solutions

  • Lead structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to drive sustainable improvements

  • Implement process enhancements that improve quality, reduce cost, and increase agility

  • Leverage data and metrics to guide decision-making and prioritize improvement efforts


People Leadership & Development

  • Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing, engaged team aligned with Pregis values

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate’s or higher degree preferred

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience required

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a production environment required

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)


Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity and accountability

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels

  • Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Passion for continuous improvement, people development, and delivering value to customers
