Description
- Review schedule for decisions on what needs to be on production floor.
- Oversee all activities on shift.
- Assign work based on experience, job knowledge and urgency.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees on his/her designated shift.
- Preventive maintenance.
- Assist in hiring and discharging employees.
- Assist in resolving personnel grievances.
- Train and evaluate employees.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and/or personnel records.
- Participate in inventory and/or cost control programs.
- Stop production to correct quality problems
- Use Order Entry and Part Tracking to view orders and inventory
- Use Office 365 for daily business operations
- Use Plex document control system for QMS purposes
- Use UKG to track employee hours
- Participate in employee suggestion or involvement programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); powder metal background preferred; supervisor experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Computer knowledge and experience is required.

Each shift needs a skill level person to oversee production, safety, housekeeping, etc. and to make decisions on any issue during that shift. Follow all IATF 16949 Procedures and Work Instructions relevant to your work area.
