Job Description

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Production Technician II to join our Operations team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our production data. In this role, you will independently collect, validate, and reconcile oil, gas, and water production data from multiple sources, supporting both internal reporting and regulatory requirements.

You’ll work closely with field operations, accounting, and cross-functional teams to investigate discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure reliable production reporting. Location
This is a hybrid position based out of our Quaker City, OH, office. You’ll be expected to work in the office three days a week with occasional travel to our Headquarters in Morgantown, WV as needed for meetings or training.


What You Will Be Doing
  • Compile, verify, and reconcile oil, gas, and water production data from purchaser statements, field systems, and tank readings.
  • Reconcile production volumes across field reports, purchaser data, and revenue records to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with field operators and accounting teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain and update production databases, ensuring accurate and timely entry of daily and monthly volumes.
  • Assist in preparing production allocation summaries and well-level reporting for internal review.
  • Generate analytical reports to identify trends, downtime, and operational variances.
  • Support month-end close processes by providing reconciled production data to revenue and accounting teams.
  • Ensure data integrity between production reporting systems and accounting platforms.
  • Participate in internal audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data validation, reconciliation, and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate across departments on special projects and provide operational support as needed.

Your Background:
  • High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.
  • 2-4years of experience in oil and gas production data management or production accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production data management systems.
  • Working knowledge of production reporting, allocation processes, and measurement data.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and month-end close tasks.
  • Experience with P2 or IFS applications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Spotfire or SQL databases (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Commitment to data integrity, record accuracy, and process improvement.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.  
  • Able to operate standard office/computer equipment. 
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
