Job Description

Program Manager – Electrical Design & Dry Utilities (Mission Critical / Data Centers)

Location: Flexible (Travel Required | HQ-Based or Remote)
Company: Gregory Construction

Gregory Construction is seeking a Program Manager to lead electrical design coordination and execution for dry utility systems on mission-critical and data center projects.

This role is built for someone with a strong electrical engineering and design background who has progressed into an operations or project leadership role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing electrical systems for data centers and understands how to carry that design through construction and field execution.

You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure scopes—including medium voltage, low voltage, duct banks, and telecom systems—ensuring alignment between design, constructability, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical and dry utility scopes across multiple data center and mission-critical projects
  • Drive design reviews, constructability analysis, and coordination with engineering teams
  • Ensure seamless transition from design into field execution
  • Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor performance for electrical scopes
  • Coordinate closely with civil, structural, and utility teams
  • Serve as the primary client contact for electrical and dry utility scopes
  • Identify design risks early and implement solutions prior to construction
  • Support preconstruction, estimating, and proposal development
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Direct experience performing electrical design for data centers or mission-critical facilities
  • 7+ years of experience across electrical design and construction/operations
  • Strong understanding of medium voltage, low voltage, duct banks, and underground utilities
  • Ability to review and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications
  • Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support projects

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience on hyperscale or campus-style data center projects
  • Background transitioning from design/engineering into construction or operations leadership

What to Expect

  • Ownership of electrical infrastructure across multiple high-profile projects
  • Involvement in both design-phase decision-making and field execution
  • Travel to project sites and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Opportunity to help build and scale Gregory’s mission-critical program

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Paid Time Off
  • Health and dental insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
