PROGRAM MANAGER

Location: NAS/JRB New Orleans, LA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Clearance: Secret | CAC required

Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for overall contract management and administration for an F/A-18 squadron-level contract maintenance and logistics support program in terms of meeting all contract staffing, schedule, performance and reporting requirements. The program manager shall be the primary interface and point of contact with government program authorities and representatives on program/project and contract administrative issues. The program manager supervises operations by developing management procedures and controls, planning and directing project execution, and monitoring and reporting progress.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

This position requires direct coordination with Government stakeholders to ensure compliance, program management oversight, and meeting contractor performance and reporting requirements. The Program Manager shall:

  • Serve as the primary contractor liaison supporting Government program objectives, sustainment priorities, and operational readiness requirements.
  • Ensure contractor maintenance operations align with Government policies, schedules, technical directives, configuration management requirements, and lifecycle sustainment strategies.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, to include Program Office Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Fleet Support Teams (FSTs), engineering representatives, and operational stakeholders regarding aircraft readiness, maintenance trends, and technical issues.
  • Monitor and report aircraft material condition, mission capable status, maintenance production metrics, and supply support impacts in accordance with Government reporting requirements.
  • Support implementation and tracking of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Technical Directives (TDs), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), and maintenance program updates affecting assigned aircraft.
  • Assist Government leadership with data collection, trend analysis, reliability assessments, and sustainment planning initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance documentation, configuration status accounting, and compliance reporting within Navy maintenance information systems.
  • Coordinate depot-level repair actions, supply chain support, component tracking, and repair cycle management activities in support of program sustainment objectives.
  • Support program reviews, technical interchange meetings, readiness reviews, and contract performance evaluations conducted by Government stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractor personnel comply with all applicable Government maintenance procedures, technical publications, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Support risk management and mitigation efforts related to aircraft availability, material shortages, obsolescence issues, and maintenance execution challenges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, and professional aeronautics
  • Shall have six years in a managerial/supervisory position (within the last ten years) in the execution of aviation maintenance contracts. Within the six years management experience, at least one year shall be in technical or project work related to Navy aircraft maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including prolonged sitting or standing, use of a computer and office equipment, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Requires sufficient vision to read and review records and the ability to work in office and hangar environments while wearing required PPE.

Compensation

  • $125,000/year + $4.00 H&W/hour
