Job Description:
Manages research and development project operations for the Munitions Engineering Technology Center at Picatinny, New Jersey. Oversees the planning, approval, and implementation of specific tasks on contract. Supervises daily operations. Defines and explains the scale, cost, and timetable of the task order. Acts as the point of contact for the implementation of task order assignments.
- Responsible for the management of all contract activities, including funding, personnel, and project assignments. Accountable for the quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
- Establishes and maintains communication between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the timely delivery of technical services.
- Manages the hiring of personnel and their performance, and subcontractor performance.
- Evaluates project protocols and procedures to reduce costs and improve the quality of deliverables.
- Prepares quotes for customer tasks, writes and reviews technical documents, and prepares monthly status reports.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Business.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $125k - $175k
- Schedule: M-F, 8-hrs/days
- 401K with up to 4% employer matching contribution

- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- 15 years project management experience in scientific or technical disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in managing personnel, operations, logistics and providing status updates to senior government leadership
- Significant experience in acquisition and life cycle management support in the following areas:
- Project Management; developing and managing to an Integrated Master Schedule and Plan, Technical Support for Requirements Development
- Financial management, Cost Monitoring, Cost Variance Analysis, Cost Estimate Development
- Quality Assurance/ Control
- Property Administration; Logistics Management
- Must possess demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with the use and integration of Microsoft Office application suite
- Demonstrated experience in RDT&E projects in support of military systems
- Demonstrated experience in task order and cost reimbursable type contracts
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete work within schedule.
Bonus points if you have:
- Program Management Certification
- Experience in managing DEVCOM armament RDT&E contracts
- Experience in data management on government systems
