Career Summary:
The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking a Program Specialist, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to support a highly skilled, high-performing team.
As the Program Specialist, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities associated with programs at the intersection of nursing practice and artificial intelligence (AI). You will develop and manage assigned client relationships in a manner consistent with policies and procedures. Moreover, you will schedule and facilitate program support meetings and ensure timely completion and distribution of required documentation. You will monitor the implementation of all contractual obligations to ensure compliance with applicable agencies. Prepare and assist in review of monthly status reports, test plans, design data books, and process and material specifications as required. Plan and coordinate meetings on project timing, goals, and budget to ensure fulfillment of internal and customer expectations and compliance with policies and contractual requirements.
You will report directly to the Vice President (VP), AI and Digital Health Programs, working independently with limited supervision. The position requires experience handling a wide range of departmental project work, volunteer boards and coalitions, and partners. This role also provides subject matter support related to AI in nursing, including coordination of educational resources, position statements, and emerging technology initiatives. This role contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of AI-enabled initiatives that support nursing practice, workforce development, and healthcare delivery.

What You Will Do:
- Coordinate and support AI-related programs, initiatives, and special projects across Nursing Programs and enterprise teams.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, deliverables, and documentation to ensure timely execution and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Monitor project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure compliance with contractual, grant, and organizational requirements.
- Conduct analysis on program components, including AI initiatives, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide support for initiatives focused on AI in nursing practice, including development of educational resources, toolkits, and program materials.
- Assist in maintaining and updating AI-related content, including position statements, web content, and SharePoint resources.
- Support environmental scanning and synthesis of emerging AI trends, tools, and implications for nursing practice and workforce.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of resources that promote AI literacy, safe adoption, and ethical use in nursing.
- Manage and support volunteer groups, boards, and coalitions, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for assigned internal and external stakeholders, addressing program-related questions and needs.
- Coordinate meetings, webinars, and events, including scheduling, agendas, materials, and follow-up actions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners, consultants, and association members.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and communications that reflect program strategies, outcomes, and impact.
- Support development of executive-level materials, including summaries, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Communicate findings, updates, and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and program efficiency, including integration of AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) in nursing
Required Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
- Registered Nurse (RN), with an active, unrestricted license
Required Work Experience
- At least three (3) years progressive project coordination, program management or experience leading to coordinating or supporting AI or digital health initiatives.
- At least five (5) years of experience in nursing.
Skills
- Relationship management with healthcare leaders, partners, boards, government, and funders.
- Ability to create, implement and modify processes.
- Expert level in written and verbal communication skills with attention to details.
- Understanding of AI applications in healthcare, including risks, regulatory landscape, ethical considerations, and safety implications.
- The ability to proofread and multitask in a face pace environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- The ability to recognize culture differences and political sensitivities while interacting with internal and external consultants, vendors and association members.

Work Schedule:
