Job Description: 
 
The Project Analyst will work directly alongside FEMA program leadership and collaborate with government stakeholders, grant recipients, and partner organizations to support planning efforts, facilitate communication, prepare executive-level materials, and advance program objectives. This position bridges strategy and execution by helping transform priorities into actionable outcomes while ensuring visibility, accountability, and operational effectiveness across the program.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. 

This position supports a nationwide FEMA grant program that advances critical mission objectives through stakeholder engagement, program coordination, performance tracking, and operational support.

 The selected candidate will report directly to the Hite Program Manager. 

Work Location:

This position is primarily onsite in Washington, DC. Due to the collaborative nature of the work and the need to support federal leadership and stakeholders directly, candidates should expect a consistent in-person presence at the client site.

Position Duties:

Program Delivery & Coordination

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of activities associated with a large federal grant program.
  • Monitor program milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and dependencies to ensure successful execution of program objectives.
  • Coordinate activities among internal teams and federal stakeholders.
  • Maintain program schedules, action trackers, documentation repositories, and reporting tools.

Analysis, Reporting & Executive Support

  • Conduct research, gather information, and analyze data to support program objectives and leadership decision-making.
  • Develop reports, briefing materials, presentations, executive summaries, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, performance metrics, and tracking mechanisms that provide visibility into program activities and outcomes.
  • Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and professionally presented.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

  • Track action items and support accountability for assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • Assist in responding to requests for information and coordinating stakeholder input across multiple organizations.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships that support program goals and mission success.

Grant Program Operations & Continuous Improvement 

  • Document business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, communication, and program performance.
  • Support special projects, strategic initiatives, and evolving program priorities as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience (3+ years if you possess an advanced degree) working in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Communications, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience with tracking multiple tasks and communicating effectively in writing
  • Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience in an environment requiring filing documents, electronic routing, or managing file structures within a MS-SharePoint environment 
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective project management skills to create and deliver under tight deadlines 
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the discipline of federal grants or PMO office
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, and executive reporting products
  • Federal government and/or management consulting experience
