Position Overview
Under minimal supervision responsible for supporting project planning, proposal planning, cost engineering, schedule development, schedule status and maintenance, or risk activities. Project related functional support may include engineering, materials management, construction, start-up, and operations organizations of the DUF6 conversion project. Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources, in accordance with procedures and business process calendars in support of Earned Value Management and Contract reporting requirements. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support Management, Control Account Managers (CAM), and business organizations in one or more functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in a technical area or discipline within Project Controls.
Functional:
- Develops the analysis and utilization of schedule data to identify key project issues
- Administers the gathering and assembly of data for schedule development and updating appropriate to task
- Develops project schedules and determines resource requirements.
- Develops the collection and updating of data to produce scheduling reports.
- Measures progress and reviews schedule performance. Identifies and resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
- Monitors and reports on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.
- Manages the development and maintenance of specific sections of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Ensures project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications consistent with project practices.
- Utilizes drawings and specifications for schedule development.
- Directs the tracking of subcontractor cost and schedule performance and assists the CAM in maintaining cost and commitment information.
- Leads monthly report preparation
- Manages the creation and maintenance of baseline schedule and leads or supports Baseline Change Proposals as assigned.
- Supports cost analysis function through cross-training
- Directs the gathering of data for procedure development.
- Ensures adherence to internal and external quality standards and requirements.
- May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or related field or equivalent
- 10+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) credential
