We would like to add an experienced Project Engineer. Qualified candidates will have strong communication and IT skills, leadership potential and at least some prior experience managing challenging projects.
Position Title: Project Engineer
Reports To: Director of Field Operations
Location: Santa Cruz
Required Experience: 2+ years
Salary Range: $90,000 to 110,000
JOB DUTIES
- Review and process submittals and shop drawings till approved.
- Perform field review of assigned work in place for conformance to the contract document.
- Learn and participate in document control platform.
- Computer Skills; proficiency in Bluebeam, awareness of Microsoft Project, awareness of P6
- Administrative support duties include: Physical/digital project document control for Job Set-up including Project Surveys & Permits, Specifications, Drawings, Submittals, RFI’s (Logs) through Close-Out docs.
- Administrative document control for:
- Monthly construction reports (Photos & Narrative)
- Change Orders – tracking/distribution.
- Required Safety Submittals, OSHA documents.
- ‘Delivery Schedule’, Logistics etc.
- QA/QC Logs.
- Punch List.
- Assistance for tracking Foreman’s/Project Meeting Minutes.
- Assistance with Schedule Updates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; preferably engineering, architecture or project management or 2 Year Associates Degree.
- Technical or Trade School a plus. Military; preferably Technical/Construction/Logistics background/ Leadership experience.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with computer applications.
