Position Overview 

The Industrial Refrigeration Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and successfully delivering industrial refrigeration projects. This role requires close coordination with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Planning & Management 

  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets for installations, upgrades, and retrofits  

  • Establish and maintain detailed timelines, milestones, and deliverables  

  • Coordinate design reviews, equipment selection, and procurement  

Technical Oversight 

  • Ensure system designs comply with ASHRAE, IIAR, OSHA, and other applicable standards  

  • Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications  

  • Provide technical guidance on ammonia (NH₃), CO₂, and other refrigerant systems  

Team Leadership & Coordination 

  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors  

  • Oversee on-site activities, monitor progress, and resolve technical or logistical issues  

  • Conduct regular project and stakeholder meetings  

Budget & Cost Control 

  • Prepare cost estimates and track project expenses  

  • Review and approve invoices and change orders within authority limits  

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality  

Safety & Compliance 

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements  

  • Coordinate hazard analyses and emergency response planning  

  • Maintain proper documentation for compliance and audits  

Client & Stakeholder Communication 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle  

  • Provide regular status updates and proactively address concerns  

  • Deliver final documentation and support project handoff to operations teams
