We are currently seeking a Project Manager Assistant to add to our Goyette Mechanical Construction Division in the Greater Columbus area. 

Specifically, we are looking for local candidates with a background or experience in construction management or mechanical project management. 

This is a full-time, non-union salaried position with benefits. 
Job duties are in the Greater Columbus, Ohio area.

Requirements

  • ·  Background or experience in Construction Management or mechanical project management.

    ·  Sound organizational skills with strong data and document management abilities.

    ·  Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines; excellent time management skills are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

    ·  Attention-to-detail and accuracy are highly critical in this role.

    ·  Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing a high emphasis on excellent customer service.

    ·  Dependable, adaptable, and proactive with good interpersonal skills.

    ·  Solid verbal and written communication with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    ·  Previous experience in HVAC/R.

    ·  Previous experience as a construction assistant PM or construction Project Engineer.

    ·  Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field/experience.

    ·  ProCore, SmartSheets and/or Google Sheets proficiency.

 

 

 

 

Summary

Job Duties Summary

  • Work closely with a construction project manager(s) as part of a cohesive team
  • Assist with construction materials ordering, scheduling, organization, and communication with construction partners.
  • Process submittals and maintain a submittal log.
  • Purchase misc. materials and equipment needed for projects including requesting quotes, writing purchase orders, maintaining a purchase order log, and approving invoices.
  • Track and follow-up on delivery dates for major equipment and material purchase orders.
  • Maintain log of extra work performed by subcontractors.
  • Ensure purchase order, submittal, and other construction documentation is properly organized and maintained for record.
  • Position may at times maintain a presence at a jobsite trailer, including administrative duties, ordering/organizing jobsite trailer supplies and assisting visitors.
  • Assist the project managers, superintendents, foreman, commissioning team, safety technicians, and other partners with their tasks, as needed.
